Going to St. Martin soon and wanted to know which are the most enjoyable beaches where it is acceptable where one can wear their Malibu Strings or not wear them at all.

The nude section is on the far end, the Club Orient end with the yellow umbrellas.  That part is nude for anyone who wishes to be nude, to include children with nude parents (but almost all of the few children we have seen, wore swimwear).

The part of the beach between low and high tide are open to the public, the part above high tide is owned by Club Orient, EXCEPT for the first 100 yards/meters that is part of Pablo's BBQ restaurant AND where the taxis drop off, pickup, and park and also where some tour vans come by for people to visit Orient Beach and look at nude people.

All of the beach is nice.  We have been there more than ten times.  On the nude part we are nude, on the non nude part we (husband and wife) wear tiny G-stringss that cover just the basic area.   We go to the nude part via Pablo's BBQ where we pay (in 2016) US$15 for two chairs/one umbrella/two drinks.  Most of the time we stay in this area, at the end of the nude section.  We typically walk the lengthes of both the nude side (while nude) and the non nude side (while wearing very tiny G-strings, by both of us).  We typically stay the day, it is a very nice beach.  One may buy lunch at Pablo's BBQ and drinks.  The water to drink is safe.  With the US$15 you will get a red ticket that gives you free access to the WCs (restrooms) of Pablo's BBQ.

FYI, each time we have been there we have seen five to ten couples (over six hours stay) having sex in the water (couple holding each other for two to five minutes and moving in and out a bit) and that seems to be fine with all on the beach and with the Club Orient security.  What is NOT OK with the Club Orient securiy are photos on their part of the beach (it is OK on the Pablo's 100 meters), non Club Orient customers using their chairs, and people selling things on the Club Orient part.  Sex on the beach is not OK, but has very occasionally occured (we know of one time).

Typically about half of the Club Orient customers are English speakers from North America and the rest are Europeans, mainly French.  Almost all are over 35, only about 5% are attractive/fit.

If you arrive by cruise ship go to the taxi area and their is a sign for Orient Beach where you may get a taxi (typically a van for 8-10) to Orient Beach.  If you are in a van with four/five or more tha price is US$7 each, otherwise it is US$10 each, each way.

    Have fun.

My wife and I are staying on the North end of Orient Beach. Do you think it would be ok to wear sheer when wet suits there? It's our first time to St Martin and we don't know what to expect. Will people be accepting of that kind of thing or should we walk toward Club Orient? Thanks

Any good places to stay in SXM?  We tend to like staying at all inclusive places, so we don't have to worry too much about food and drinks.  But open to ideas if anyone has any.

    Thanks

SXM isn't the type of island to stay at an all inclusive. The best restaurants in the Caribbean are there and St Bart's . Also every beach is different and has fantastic beach bars . Rent a car and explore. Otherwise your missing out .
